Louie Schwartzberg’s TED Talk about Pollen/Wings of Life

This TED talk video is about seven and a half minutes long, but it makes quite an impression. The cinematographer/director Louie Schwartzberg gives us a look into his film which is either called Pollen (French title, I think), Hidden Beauty, or Wings of Life. Whatever it is called, I can’t wait to see it if this brief video is any indication. It is absolutely beautiful and inspiring. (If anyone knows when it premieres in the US or if it already has, please inform me! It’d be much appreciated, I can’t seem to figure it out myself!) (Also hat tip to Texas Butterfly Ranch, where I first discovered this while trying to figure out where my resident Monarch caterpillar went to make its chrysalis.)

***Update: Okay, I guess slowing down and reading web pages I’ve already opened would help! According to the Pollinator Partnership, the film has yet to debut in the US, but will be titled Wings of Life when it does. I can’t wait to see it!

  1. That’s pretty spectacular…love the slow-mo and time lapse. I’ve seen the entire TED series from last year..also amazing.
