If they are not below the leaf, they are just as often invisible on the top. But they are always there, one way or another, fecund with the potential of wonder and beauty and challenges that make the living world possible. It is easy to fear them, and all too often enough, they are feared. It does not matter: they keep coming back; there is no annihilating or even suppressing them, thankfully. They have eight legs even when they don’t, and they only need one to walk. They are just the tip of a leaf of an endless plant. They are opportunities, lying in wait.
