Beyond the primal directive to survive, what are our motivations to go forth and become whoever it is we happen to be? Our actions usually belie these, translating the silent language all living things speak. Through our movements and gestures, we reveal ourselves over and over again (if sometimes only to others and not ourselves); our fears and desires drop us to and from those territories of danger and intrigue, like internal drag lines. And in the right light, the right wind, they become apparent if only for a moment.
