A solder beetle (?) makes for a striking contrast against the backdrop of a brilliantly yellow dandelion flower.
They say it is a weed, but up close its beauty prevails. This longhorn beetle graciously let me get off quite a few shots while it fed.
Fun fact: Dandelions (the leaves) make a good dish (salad!) for people as well as bugs!
