The bug merry-go-round at the Bronx Zoo is an understandably big hit.

So, I missed all the scorching hot bug photo opportunities of the weekend to visit my sister in Brooklyn. We thought it might be a good idea to go to the Bronx Zoo — and it was! We saw a lot of amazing animals; hopefully their conservation projects can help protect their free counterparts in the wild. We also saw the Bug Carousel, which was pretty amazing in its own right. I didn’t ride it (I was photographing the riders, although, yes, I could have went on afterwards; I’m a bit of a bum). I liked the mantids and the dung beetle bench the best.
