Small and intense: a portrait of a long-legged fly.

Well, what better time to finally share some shots while it is raining (rain! precipitation! what a novel concept). Well…here’s one shot. :)

These flies seem to be ubiquitous in my neck of the woods out here in western Massachusetts. This might be my first successful “face” shot on one of these fairly small, long-legged flies. Appears to be Genus Condylostylus looking at BugGuide.net.

Family: Dolichopodidae
