A Quick Winter Bug Notice: They’re on their way!

snow stonefly

Small stoneflies were out in abundance during last Saturday’s beautiful, sunny afternoon

I don’t really have time for a full post today, but I thought I’d put up my Flickr post of a stonefly from my Saturday shoot. It was the first time I have been out photographing in earnest in some time. The day was gorgeous, all blue skies and sunshine. I had a sinus headache, but I powered through even though it made for some tough hoeing. (Trying to focus when your head seems to be contracting plus the the sometimes blinding sunshine bouncing off the pure white snow was a bit much to handle at times!) I also found a neat fly (maybe a marsh fly?) and a little crab spider (the fly was more cooperative). It was a great day, and a sign of a more to come!
