Going to do a quick post. I’m “stealing” my flickr post for the day — and in case you didn’t know, I make regular posts over at flickr, which usually include different shots than my Bugphoto.net posts (today being an exception). Check out my photostream, if you get a chance.
I saw this baby painted turtle at Clarksburg State Park, as it was attempting to cross the drive in between the pond and a swampy area. It was quite a small one, as you can see it fit into my reversed lens! I want to say the shell was less than 3 inches in diameter.
