I have yet to see a luna moth this year after a banner year (for me) last year. This shot was from May 2012. The eyespots are simply gorgeous. I can get lost in there; for time eternal I could get lost in there.

The only way they might be disagreeable is the white scales are hard to bring out in a photo. I think my processing dulled them a bit, but they seem more defined at the edges now.
