A hummingbird clearwing moth hovers at the edge of flowers in its customary way of feeding

My trip is humming along. I’m trying to get some photos, but the heat wave has inhibited me. I managed to stand the relentless sun a couple days ago at Wells State Park in Sturbridge, MA. I accidentally walked through a bog, and the mosquitoes were horrible on the trails, but I found some open areas with butterflies — and a hummingbird clearwing (obviously) —tiger beetles, and dragonflies. Managed not to throw my back out either, which was a nice bonus. :)

[Also just wanted to note that I edited this with iPhoto on the iPad, not sure that helped a less than perfect photo, but hopefully it looks okay on your screen where or whatever that might be.]
