The beady-eyed yet still lovely face of a crab spider. The little yellow spots aren’t misplaced eyes but rather bits of pollen.
The small compact face of a crab spiders works nicely with limited depth of field. Like a jumping spider this crabby has two eyes more prominent than the rest which I think gives it a more accessible look, maybe even a hint of cuteness. Spiders with roughly same-sized eyes that are grouped closely together tend to suggest something alien to the human imagination. That’s my theory anyway.
