Moody and Elegant

face of an Elegant Crab Spider (Xysticus elegans)

A crab spidery face: a male Elegant Crab Spider, Xysticus elegans, looks into the camera with the characteristic eye arrangement of family Thomisidae.

A male Elegant Crab Spider, Xysticus elegans, stretches out its forelegs in typical crab spider, predator-in-waiting fashion. Naturally I did everything I could to cut off the rightside forelegs.
