Robber Fly with Wasp Prey

A robber fly (Efferia sp.) feeds on a small wasp while standing in a hunched pose in reaction to the camera.

Monday…right in the back!

Every time I released the shutter this guy jumped. On the last two or three, he did this raised-hair on a cat pose. Kinda funny to watch, though it was probably a little distressing to the robber and its valuable meal.
