You may have noticed that I’ve been on a black and white kick lately, but I ran into this shot and learned a little something about color tones, contrast, and texture.The flower really is lacking and the shallow depth of field has left a lot of softness and little detail. So I couldn’t make it work in monochrome, but I still like the color version.

(Also, not actually the end of the line for my black and white experiments, more to come here and there.)
