Click Bait…Sort of.

A click beetle poses regally at the convergence of some leaves.

I should probably make some lists of some gaudy butterflies; I’d get more hits, right? Well, for now I’m going with this rather elegant click beetle, family Elateridae. These beetles get their name from their unique ability to snap themselves upright if they fall on their backs; the movement which other beetles are unable to make, also produces the eponymous clicking noise.
