The best way to stay warm is, of course, to look at photos of bugs in the comfort of a heated domicile at your favorite computing device. Going outside and looking at them on your phone won’t work at all!

On a more serious note, these mating beetles are rather common in pairs or as single individuals during the summer month. They have relatives, which have strikingly similar forms, if also strikingly different colors.
