On Balance (Scarab Beetle, Scarabaeidae)

A scarab beetle (Scarabaeidae) is balancing on a tiny pink flower.

These little pink flowers sprout up every year, and they tend to make very nice backdrops if I am lucky enough to find a photogenic insect on them. I’m not sure if the photo suggests it, but our beetle friend here was not the most stationary subject; I only managed a few shots, this one being the best of them.

Wishing everyone a peaceful weekend.
