Sometimes the light ahead of us is the light behind us as well. (Black and white version below.)

I had a very difficult time choosing which version of this image to “feature,” but I ended up going with the color, because well, I liked it a touch better (though my hunch is the B&W emphasizes the subject more). I think it was the faint touch of blue sky that won me over.

Looking at them one more time, they may be calling for a tighter crop, especially at the left side. Maybe more so in the color version. I guess this is the point where I imagine a dozen variations at once; I realize there could be a million: and the system (i.e. my brain) crashes. Luckily, I have this post ready to go.
