Deep Fog (Longhorn Beetle, Strangalia strigosa)

A wasp-mimicking longhorn beetle peers out from deep inside a cactus flower. (Black and white)

When I mentioned this particular beetle, I had forgotten I had already processed one shot of it. This angle obscures a lot, but in particular the beetle’s mimicry is not visible. That’s okay, I’ve got better shots of that. This one I wanted to share, because I liked the dreamy air of being lost in a fog (which in this case is also the flower of an Opuntia cactus).
