Lady with a Bite (Metallic Blue Lady Beetle, Curinus coeruleus)

I decided to go two for two this week on Florida lady beetles. I had seen a few of these around the yard of my friends’ home, and I had seen numerous larvae and pupae on the walls of their home that I now think are the same species. I didn’t really get a lot of great shots of the adults, however. One thing I did get was bitten. I can’t remember if the one pictured above was the culprit, but the memory of that nasty little pinch remains.
